The Radio-Television-Broadcasting program consists of hands-on courses in the fundamentals of in-studio and off-site Television Production, Radio Station Operation, Digital Audio Production, Writing for Radio, Television, and Cinema Style Production.
Registration for the fall 2022 semester at San Antonio College is open. 16-week courses and two sessions of eight week courses are available. Tuesday, August 16th is the deadline to register for the fall 16-week courses, and the flex one, eight-week courses. Current students may register through their Aces portal. The Scobee Planetarium hosts Friday night public shows. Family friendly shows start at 6:30 pm, The Sky Tonight live presentations start at 8, and double features at 9:30. Children must be 6 years of age and older to attend the 8pm and 9:30 shows. Tickets are available 30 minutes before showtime.
The American Sign Language and Interpreting Program at San Antonio College teaches students about deaf culture, the interpreting process, specialized interpreting settings, and more. The ASL Interpreting program hosts online information sessions once a month for students interested in the field. These sessions provide an overview of degree options, specific program requirements, and course offerings for the fall semester.
San Antonio College has a new on-site clinic open on the first floor of the Nursing & Allied Health Complex. The clinic provides services for students attending any of the Alamo Colleges. The clinic does not accept walk-ins, but same-day appointments are often available by phone at 210-485-0571.
The Alamo Colleges are hosting Pop-Up Markets in collaboration with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide healthy food to students, employees, and the surrounding community. Pop-Up Markets are no contact, drive-through events and all participants must register in advance. Dates and registration are on the Alamo Colleges website.
The Student Advocacy Center provides resources and builds hope for San Antonio College students in need. Resources offered include a food pantry, clothing closet, emergency financial assistance, and counseling. Trained and licensed staff can guide you in personal, social, educational, and psychological matters. Students in need can call 210-486-1111
